The Morning Show on MPR is ending.� I just found this out today. �It nearly broke my heart.

I grew up listening to the morning show.� Literally, as long as I�can remember I could hear the morning show between 6 and 9 am.� Dale and Jim Ed, with their dulcet tones were the background music for thirteen years of school.�� I�would always known if Iapos;d missed the bus�if I heard Jim Ed reading the sports.

I�didnapos;t listen much in college (as I would wake up at 9:30) but after coming back to St.�Paul they once again provided the background for my mornings.� Anytime Iapos;d drive to school or work, theyapos;d be there. �They still are, at least through December.�

You canapos;t really tell the story of my first 25�years of life without mentioning�The Morning Show. �So many of my favorite songs I�first heard on that program, so many jokes and routines I�love came to me through their silliness, and from time to time my own name was mentioned on the show.�

Iapos;m really not sure how I feel about this.� I�think Andy and I should replace them. �We like random music and have witty banter. �Itapos;ll work out.
